The Committee (SAC/TC39) was established in 1984, which is managed by Standardization Administration of China. Its secretariat is located in Beijing FRP Research and Design Institute Co., Ltd. The committee is composed of relevant experts from production enterprises, scientific research institutions and colleges, and works in accordance with the "Regulations of the National Professional Standardization Technical Committee" and the "Regulations of the National Fiber Reinforced Plastics Standardization Technical Committee". Since its establishment, the committee has done a lot of work in the formulation, revision, publicity and promotion of fiber reinforced composite materials standards.
