The "Yunxing"-series aircraft will fly at a speed four times of sound, greatly improving travel efficiency.


The "Yunxing"- serial supersonic aircraft adopts a high lift-to-drag ratio aerodynamic design with a waverider body. As the altitude increases, the air density goes down, and the lift force and drag force also change accordingly. The high lift-to-drag ratio aerodynamic design can help the aircraft maintain high flight efficient under such circumstance, thereby achieving a more economical and comfortable flight experience.

The "Yunxing"-serial supersonic aircraft adopts a highly reliable high-temperature resistant lightweight thermal protection material system. During high-speed flight, the surface of the aircraft is continuously subjected to aerodynamic heating, with local temperatures exceeding 1000 ℃. It is crucial to use materials and structures that are both heat-resistant and can maintain sufficient strength and lightweight. In the test flight, the fully composite structure of the aircraft body successfully withstood extreme environment conditions.

This test flight also assessed the flight control, avionics equipment, and structural strength of the supersonic aircraft, providing reliable support for subsequent maiden flight. It is expected to complete the flight validation of the "Jindouyun" serial engines in November and conduct the maiden flight of the supersonic aircraft prototype in 2027.
