This year's edition creates a new historical highness, with over 400 leading innovative products, technologies, and services showcased, not only displaying the latest industrial development trend across the world, but also injecting new vitality into the China’s consumption market, technology enhancement as well as industrial upgrading.
As an "old friend" for the fifth time participating in CIIE and the only comprehensive carbon fiber solution provider in the venue, HRC, focusing on future transportation in air, on land and upon waters, highlighted diverse products targeting land transportation, low altitude flight, etc. in automobile exhibition area in Hall 2.1. Themed “Advanced Composite for Green Future", HRC’s booth integrates diverse elements varying from material science, environment protection concepts, and fashion aesthetics, and vividly lays out an innovative blueprint for smart transportation and low-carbon daily life.
Unique Partner for carbon fiber components and structures for low altitude economy
Low altitude economy is undoubtedly a highlight of CIIE. Early as 2021, HRC showcased Traveler X2 flying car (Xiaopeng Huiqian). At this year's CIIE, HRC presented two cutting-edge highlights for their global debut: a lightweight unmanned quadrotor drone and ES1000 unmanned all-carbon electric airfreighter, demonstrating the company’s long-lasting dedication and R&D strength in the low altitude field.

In order to meet the requirements of lower energy consumption, higher endurance and loading capability for power inspection drones, HRC has designed and developed a carbon fiber integrated structure for the lightweight unmanned quadrotor drone. Its arm, body, and landing gear are integrated and co-cured with internal inflatable bags and external metal molds. Being light and highly efficient, its material utilization rate and structural efficiency have been greatly improved. The drone has now been put into mass production and will effectively contribute to the automation and intelligentialization for power inspection field.
The ES1000 unmanned all-carbon electric airfreighter adopts ground-breaking technology for electric aviation industry, as independently developed and designed by Yifei Aviation Technology, a forerunner in the low altitude industry. The maximum takeoff weight of ES1000 is as high as 4,500 kg, with a range of about 1,200 kilometers and a takeoff-run distance only about 100 meters. It has a very efficient carrying capacity and wide application prospects. As an important partner of Yifei Aviation, HRC is responsible for the manufacturing, assembly and primer coating of the T-shaped tailplane, the production of the co-cured skin and stringer of the vertical stabilizer, the integrated production of the tail cone made with carbon fiber sandwich structures, achieving lighter weight and improved performance.
Revolutionary Carbon Body Outlimits Application Scenario
With rich experience and outstanding capabilities, HRC has always been committed to assisting clients in constantly breaking through application limits and leading industry development trends. This time, HRC showcased at CIIE the eye-catching supercar U9 from BYD. It is the first mass-produced supercar model in China made with carbon fiber body structures. The model incorporates more than 110kg carbon fiber in its body, and adopts a wide series of latest technologies including "Super Carbon Cabin", new generation CTB, and super hybrid structure. The torsional stiffness of the vehicle is as high as 54425N · m/°, ensuring ultimate safety while adding more fun to the driving experience.

The "Super Carbon Cabin" is the core technology of the "Carbon Fiber Ultra Safe Body Architecture" carried by the U9, developed and exclusively manufactured with the assistance of HRC. The HRC team participated in the entire development process, from carbon fiber selection, structure design and simulation to trial production and mass production. The 'Super Carbon Cabin' extensively utilizes T700-12K high-performance aerospace-grade carbon fiber, accounting for nearly 80% of the vehicle's volume. By adopting the "Super Carbon Cabin", a weight reduction of 30% compared to the steel aluminum solution has been achieved, and the lightweight coefficient has exceeded the industry limit, being only 0.95. In addition, in terms of the main transmission path of the vehicle body, the fusion design of carbon fiber with hot formed steel greatly improves the deformation resistance of the passenger compartment, while also increasing the safety on top and side. HRC has also significantly improved the handling and safety under extreme working conditions by using more than ten types of connection structures such as adhesive bonding, screw bonding, riveting, MIG, FDS, etc. and adopting technological innovations such as PMI inserts at key locations.

Exclusive Proprietary Eco-System Centered on Green Recyclable Composite, Interpreting the Presence and Future of Carbon Fiber
With sustainable development becoming an important global issue, HRC has also set up a "Green and Recyclable" exhibition area at this year's booth, vividly demonstrating the "past and present" of carbon fiber in a simple and understandable way. As one of the few high-tech enterprises worldwide that integrates the development, industrial-application, recycling, and reuse of composite materials, HRC uses patented recycling technology to convert carbon fiber composite waste into recycled carbon fiber, exploring high-quality and economically and environmentally friendly recycled carbon fiber intermediate materials and end products for travel, construction, consumer goods, and other application fields.

The "Green and Recyclable Composite Material Ecosystem" showcased this time presents the company's innovative products explored from multiple dimensions such as greenhouse gas emissions reduction, cost-effectiveness, and material characteristics, providing a development direction for the recycling and diversified reuse of composite materials. This concept and business model have also been highly recognized by the industry. Previously, HRC reached a strategic cooperation with Airbus Aircraft Lifecycle Service Center (ALSC) to jointly launch the first domestic aircraft dismantling and recycling project. Both parties will maximize the resource reuse of carbon fiber composite waste generated by retired aircraft, and form low emission, high physical performance, and value-added regenerated carbon fiber composite materials as well as derivative products, promoting the concept of a "green and recyclable composite material ecosystem" and supporting the development of circular economy.
The CIIE is an excellent platform for promoting global openness and sharing of the Chinese market, which continuously releases strong "spillover benefits". For the fifth time on the CIIE platform, HRC looks forward to working together with all parties to empower the high-quality development of new productivity in fields such as automotive manufacturing and aerospace through more exchanges and cooperation, and to help future life move towards green, low-carbon, and intelligent development.
