On September 30, 2026 (local time), the commissioning ceremony for Aosheng Portugal, subsidiary of Jiangsu Aosheng Composite Materials Hi-Tech Co., Ltd, took place in Porto, Portugal.

Marking Aosheng’s maiden large-scale production base in Europe, the Portuguese facility draws on the parent group’s over 20 years of technical expertise and global supply-chain strengths in carbon fiber composites. Centered on the wind energy sector, it specializes in the R&D, manufacturing and local sales of critical carbon fiber components for wind turbine blades.

The launch closes Aosheng’s local capacity gap across Europe, substantially shortening lead times for European wind power customers. It further consolidates the company’s global wind market edge and offers another tangible example of China’s advanced composite industry “going global”.

Europe has ramped up long-term investment in renewables in recent years. Its agenda for wind energy innovation and low-carbon sustainable development aligns closely with Aosheng’s core business roadmap. Chairman Xu Wenqian noted that once the Portuguese base is fully operational, Aosheng will fully leverage its technological and full-value-chain advantages in carbon fiber composites to deeply embed within Europe’s indigenous wind energy ecosystem. The company will deliver more agile, customized products and services for European clients. Meanwhile, it will create stable industrial jobs in Valongo, foster coordinated growth of upstream and downstream supporting sectors, and contribute to regional economic and renewable-energy advancement in Portugal.

The commissioning of the Portuguese site completes Aosheng’s global footprint, linking its core domestic manufacturing hubs with a European localized service node. This layout establishes an end-to-end overseas value chain covering production, logistics and customer support, substantially reducing cross-border delivery and communication costs. It also signals that Chinese carbon fiber composite enterprises are evolving from pure product exports toward full-value-chain globalization spanning technology, capacity and services, continuously elevating the core competitiveness of China’s high-end manufacturing within the global new-energy supply chain.
