SANSE Technology and Mercedes-Benz Stuttgart R&D Center Hold Technical Exchange on Composite Battery Solutions

TAIZHOU, China - Zhejiang SANSE Molding Technology Co., Ltd.‌ (SANSE Technology) recently held a successful specialized technical exchange on power battery composites with the battery system team from the Mercedes-Benz Stuttgart Global R&D Center.

The Stuttgart R&D Center dispatched a professional technical team of approximately 10 members, covering the entire value chain including battery structure design, composite material development, CAE simulation, and performance testing - comprising core engineers and senior materials experts. SANSE Technology was represented by its core technical and commercial leadership team, demonstrating the company's technical capabilities and industry experience.

As a leading first-tier supplier of automotive composite components in China, SANSE Technology has long been engaged in the R&D and mass production of composite structural parts for new energy vehicles (NEVs). Following the meeting, the Mercedes-Benz team indicated it would promptly initiate internal special discussions to deeply evaluate and reference the advanced technical approaches adopted by Chinese NEV manufacturers regarding composite battery Pack casings, and to explore the feasibility of subsequent large-scale deployment.

Additionally, both parties have agreed to conduct the next phase of specialized technical alignment and joint solution development focused on a lightweight composite alternative for the aluminum underbody protection plate of battery casings.
