SHUNYI, BEIJING – March 26, 2026 – AVIC Composite Co., Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony today for its Civil Aviation Composite Components Capability Enhancement and Construction Project in Shunyi District, Beijing.

The project is designed to meet the development needs of next-generation large-dimension composite structural components for civil aircraft, while enhancing the company’s R&D and engineering innovation capabilities in large-scale aviation composite components.

With a total investment of RMB 917.5 million (approximately USD 127 million), the project will add 57,000 square meters of new construction floor space. The construction period is set at 36 months, with the facility scheduled to reach its designed production capacity by 2028. The groundbreaking marks a critical step for the company as it deepens its integration into the aviation industry chain and accelerates its journey to become a world-class supplier of composite components for civil aircraft.

The implementation of this project will effectively address existing gaps in civil aircraft composite capabilities, strengthen the independent and controllable nature of the industrial chain, and help the company consolidate its industry leadership position while building itself into a premier supplier of civil aircraft composite components. Ultimately, the project will provide solid support for the high-quality development of China’s national aviation industry.
