LIANYUNGANG, July 5 - China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd. (CNBM) held a commissioning ceremony on June 28 in Lianyungang for its high-performance carbon fiber production facility, showcasing three production lines each ranked as the world's largest in their respective categories.

The Lianyungang high-performance carbon fiber manufacturing base broke ground in June 2023. Spanning 1,500 mu (100 hectares) with a planned total investment of RMB 6 billion, the facility is designed for an annual capacity of 31,000 metric tons, with ten full-capacity production lines in total.
The three newly commissioned lines collectively form the world's largest product portfolio spanning "high-strength, high-modulus, and large-tow" carbon fiber grades, distinguished by broad market coverage, rapid return on investment, and advanced technical specifications.
- Line 1 is the world's largest annual 1,000-ton SYT70 (T1100-grade) high-strength carbon fiber production line, precisely tailored to meet the stringent lightweighting and high-load-bearing requirements of the aerospace and defense sectors.
- Line 2 is the world's largest annual 5,000-ton SYT45S-48K carbon fiber production line, offering cost-effective material solutions for a wide range of industrial applications, including wind power generation and new-energy vehicles.
- Line 3 is the world's largest annual 600-ton production line for M40-grade and above high-modulus carbon fiber, serving demanding applications such as deep-sea, deep-earth, and deep-space exploration equipment, competitive sporting goods, and 3C electronics, where high rigidity and precision are paramount.

Adhering to the principles of "green, high-end, and digitalized intelligent manufacturing," the project's pilot lines have completed one month of trial operation and have already achieved performance targets at the commissioning stage, ensuring a stable and sufficient supply of premium-quality products to meet market confidence and expectations.
