An alternative production line with 120,000 tons capacity will be launched in Egypt instead.


Up to now, glass fiber provided by China Jushi to India is mainly imported from China and Egypt. With the termination of India-based program, China Jushi said it would continue a stable supply to India market and site-selection for new overseas programs.

China Jushi also declared on the same day to put an investment of 1.8 billion RMB to the city of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, to initiate a new chopped glass fiber program boasting a capacity of 150,000 tons. Construction will start in the first half of 2022 and completed within a year. The expected annual revenue is 900 million RMB.

China Jushi said chopped glass fiber was embracing a strong demand in the market of automotive as well as domestic appliance, where a structural shortage of supply had long been complained and a high-speed growth is projected.
