The passenger ferry is built by Guangdong Sinoway Composite Materials Co., Ltd. (hereafter referred to as Sinoway), a subsidiary of Guangdong Port & Shipping Group Co., Ltd. It will be used for passenger transportation in Hong Kong waters. New Pearl 3 is made with advanced carbon fiber, providing a green and energy-saving example for the development of waterway transportation in the Guangdong-HK-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The passenger ferry has a total length of 44.75 meters, a width of 11 meters, a height of 3.65 meters, a cruise speed of 26 knots, and a maximum speed of 33 knots when fully loaded.

The passenger ferry is optimized and upgraded based on a mature type, considering the characteristics of its designed route, effectively enhancing the structural strength in response to complex working conditions. Its seaworthiness and operability has been greatly improved, thus enhancing its safety even in 8-grade wind. The ferry is equipped with lithium battery packs and solar energy storage panels, which can ensure the stable operation of electrical facilities when the ship docks, and effectively reduces daily fuel consumption and emissions.
