Mid-fuselage (including the central wing box) is where the front fuselage, middle-after fuselage, wings and main landing gear are connected, being also one of those air-structures most difficult to produce and assemble. Its weight is about 3 tons, embodying more than 8000 parts and over 120,000 standard components.

C919 Airliner is China's first home-grown jet airliner in accordance with international airworthiness standards with independent intellectual property rights. Since the award of the cabin door work package in 2009, Xizi Spirit Aerospace has obtained 344 special process qualifications, formed a complete aviation component manufacturing and qualification system, becoming a first tier supplier to Airbus and Boeing.

Matching the tact time of C919 production, Xizi Spirit Aviation plans to invest over 1 billion yuan to build a production line, with annual capacity amounting to 100 by 2027, and to form a full process capability for the production of key components and large-sized metal parts, and for the assembly of aircraft body components in a digital and intelligent way.
