WUHAN, March 25, 2026 – A groundbreaking ceremony was held today for the high-performance carbon fiber production base of Hubei Yuchuang Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. in Qingshan District (Wuhan Chemical Industrial Park).

Founded in November 2025 with a registered capital of RMB 300 million, Hubei Yuchuang Carbon Fiber Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by leading players in the carbon fiber industry, industrial capital, and local state-owned assets. The high-performance carbon fiber products to be manufactured at the base feature exceptional properties including high strength, high modulus, and high temperature resistance. The project will effectively alleviate the critical bottleneck in domestic high-end carbon fiber supply and establish a complete industrial chain spanning from raw material production to composite material manufacturing.

The establishment of the Central China High-Performance Carbon Fiber Production Base will fill a critical gap in the high-performance carbon fiber industrial chain in the region. It is also expected to effectively attract upstream and downstream enterprises in raw materials, composites, and end-use applications, fostering the formation of an integrated industrial cluster in the area.
