The bid was placed for an EPC program, or the second phase of the second water supply construction program in the city of Korla, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, mainly including the construction of 38.1km FRP pipelines.


Implementation of the program will make up the insufficiency of water supply in Corla, satisfy the general demand for water usage across the city, facilitate people’s livelihood, and boost a sustained and coordinated development of local society and economy.

The filament winding process applied by Grad Group to the production of FRP pipelines mainly incorporates the winding of continuous fibers pre-impregnated with resin or pre-impregnated fabrics/tapes/veils to the mandrels, followed by curing and demolding.

FRP pipelines are featured with extraordinary corrosion-resistance, long service life (max 50 year), easy installation and maintenance and decreased cost. Each pipe can be as long as 12 meters, boasting of lightweight, high strength, design flexibility, minimized joints, decreased surface roughness, and improved hydraulic performance, suitable for application as wide as water supply, heat supply, gas supply, drainage, irritation, construction, oil/gas, chemistry, light industry, energy, transportation, mining, marine development, etc.
