Back On May 18, 2028, Beiqi Hai Hua obtained the technology for the mass production of composite leaf spring and other automotive structures in the wake of the acquisition of IFA Composite GmbH, a German-based company dedicated to composite auto-parts., complement its lightweight strategy in a phased fashion.

The line, severely impacted since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, was relocated from Germany to Beiqi Hai Hua’s headquarter at Boshan District, Zibo, Shandong Provine.

“One single piece of composite leaf spring can replace a group of counterparts made with metals, thus dramatically reducing the overall weight of the vehicle.” As detailed by the person in charge, a 72%-83% weight deduction, 5 times service life improvement under vertical load, 30% incresese of smoothness and 2-5 times duration enhancement can be achieved.


In the rudimental estimation made by Beiji Hai Hua, with the imployment of composite, each vehicle (heavy-duty truck) can shake off roughly 280kg of its weight, and further reduce fuel consumption by 2,240 litres each year.

Li Anbang, GM of Beiqi Hai Hua, said it had already received big amount of orders from major carmakers including Volvo, Geely and SINOTRUK.
